Individual Reflection: I See Me Through You

People as divine mirrors to spiritual and emotional growth.

Have you ever come into contact with someone who you KNOW is there to help you see yourself more clearly—the good, the bad, or the ugly? You just know on some level that they have come in to help you learn something about yourself.

Well, that is very likely most of the people you encounter. Some people feel “closer” to you soulfully, and some feel farther away, but you can bet they are mirroring you back to you. We live in a mirroring or a holographic universe.

The ones who “trigger” us the most (cause us to feel pretty negative, offended, angry, or send us completely into an emotional flashback from our traumatic childhood) are typically the ones who are closer to us on a soul level. They are our closest soulmates. My personal belief is that we have many soulmates, not just one.

Soulmates come in all shapes and sizes.

We have kindred soulmates who feel like family and are often really close friends; we get one another. We have karmic soulmates who tend to be very rocky or abusive, but we learn, heal, and grow from the relationship. If you believe in past lives as I do (and you don’t have to!), I believe we have been causing karma with one another and balancing karmic debt with these kinds of soulmates for a long time. Then, we have your standard soulmates who are—like kindred soulmates—easy to be with, but they are more of a romantic connection. These are the people who have 50th wedding anniversaries. They stay together like swans do and can support and be each other’s best friend. They complement and are compatible soulmates for life. I am sure there are other kinds, but that is probably enough for this article.

In my personal experience, my closest soul family members have incarnated with me in this lifetime, and I have met a few who have sometimes triggered the socks off me. And I have grown spiritually because of their mirroring in my life. They have shown me parts of myself—the darkest ones—that I have not wanted to see. I can no longer hide from myself due to these cosmic mirrors, and I am blessed that I have had the opportunity to heal myself with their help.

The importance of individual reflection and soul family

The journey of personal growth and self-discovery is a deeply individual one! It requires us to take the time to reflect on our experiences, beliefs, and values in order to gain a better understanding of ourselves and the world around us. It can be scary! Individual reflection is a powerful tool that can help us cultivate self-awareness, identify areas for growth and change, and make more intentional choices in our lives.

At the same time, the process of reflection can also be isolating. It can be difficult to navigate the complexities of our inner world without the support and guidance of others. This is where finding your soul family comes in. Your soul family consists of the people who support and encourage you on your journey of self-discovery. They are the ones who understand your values and beliefs, who challenge you to grow, and who celebrate your successes and failures.

Finding your soul family can be a transformative experience. It can provide a sense of belonging and community, and help to combat feelings of loneliness and isolation. When we feel supported and connected, we are better able to take risks and pursue our goals with confidence and courage.

But finding your soul family is not always easy. It requires vulnerability and a willingness to be open and honest with yourself and others. It also requires a willingness to let go of relationships that no longer serve you and to seek out new connections that align with your values and goals.

The process of finding your soul family can also be a journey of self-discovery in itself. As you explore new relationships and connections, you may gain new insights into your own needs and desires, and develop a deeper understanding of your own values and beliefs.

Ultimately, the importance of individual reflection and finding your soul family cannot be overstated. Together, these practices can help us cultivate a sense of purpose and meaning in our lives, and build a strong foundation for personal growth and self-discovery. So take the time to reflect on your own experiences, values, and beliefs, and seek out those who support and encourage you on your journey. With time and effort, you can create a life filled with purpose, connection, and joy!
